Day 3

January 14, 2013

Seriously, the weather has been quite lovely here...
After today's orientation/lectures, we took a boat tour to Greenwich. So, off we went on the Thames River:

We passed about four different bridges, but my favorite one was this:

I didn't know London had so much sunlight!

On the way, we passed several houses, apartments, condos, buildings and I realized how beautiful the architecture in London is.

And the Tower Bridge (beauty...)

And, of course, we took some selfies when we got bored hehe:

When we got off the boat (finally), we headed over to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich:
It was a long walk... or hill, I should say. But alas!

And we got to see the PRIME MERIDIAN (eep!)

And I decided to stand right in between where SEOUL is ^^

As we were heading out, I got to taste a glimpse of home :')

For the remainder of the day, we explored other parts of Greenwich. Unfortunately, the markets we wanted to visit weren't open today :c and it wasn't too easy to find cheap but good food either...

But I found an outdoor food market and got Indian food :)
It wasn't amazing (it made my stomach feel queasy) but it was only 4 pounds!

Today's thoughts:
  • My portions got smaller but I'm hungry every 30 minutes...
  • I am beginning to slowly appreciate both the little and the big beauties of things in this city
  • I need to memorize the value of different coins - two pence (pennies) are bigger than quarters!
  • JOOVIDEO.COM WORKS! I can watch my dramas hehe
  • My stereotypes of Americans (yes, Americans) are decreasing
  • There are many good looking and well-dressed British men
  • So many cafés near my dorm I want to try~
  • I feel like I've been here for a month already - not sure if this is a good thing or bad. TBD
  • Korean/Asian guys are well-mannered compared to 미국 하얀 남자들
  • Opened up to Joshua 1: Encouraged!
  • Good night (10:53pm here)

  1. Okay, I'm dumb. But my comment before said, "Just letting you know that people are reading your blog." Woo.
