Day 49

March 1, 2014

The past few days I had nothing to write. Today, I have too much to write. I don't know where to start! Mm first, Mythri Sarah & I went to Borough Market (a food market). It was so awesome because almost every station had a sample that we were able to try. I am definitelyyyy going back a couple more times to try more food/desserts. Afterwards, we went to Spitafields Market, a clothing/accessory, rather than food, market. I bought a scarf made of Yak Wool - so warm and colorful! I mean, when and where else would I buy a scarf made of yak hair.... hehehe. I also bought this natural handmade soap that's supposed to be good for skin. I've been breaking out a lot lately, so I bought it in hopes that this soap would calm my skin. We'll see how it goes! Finally, we went to Brick Lane Market which was a lot smaller, and just generally incomparable to the other two markets. But I did try some awesome Venezuelan food which was super yummy! It had pulled pork, shredded chicken, caramelized onion, guac, a special spicy sauce, rice and this fried corn thing. It was delicious!! - I killed it hehe.

For dinner I finally met up with Ji Young - a friend of a friend. She's my first Korean-British friend! Hehe, she was so sweet and we had great conversations over some yummy middle-eastern dinner and homemade lemonade at Comptoir. We ended the night with some (decent) bubble tea. Can't wait for more food adventures!!!

Cheers,

xx
