Day 44

Today was my first day at my internship and it went pretty well! I got there quite early so I strolled around the area because the sun was shining and the weather was splendid.

The first few hours were spent on orientation and then I had lunch at the staff/employee restaurant. The food was amazing and I ate so much. It was actually quite a funny scene because I was sitting with three other female employees who were eating salad while I was downing my chicken, rice, mac&cheese, and whatever else was on my plate. I'm not sure if I actually didn't have any room left in my stomach or if I just didn't want to consume an entire doughnut (when did I become so self-conscious about my eating habits gosh?!)

After lunch I finally learned the basics of what I will be doing for the duration of my internship. It may become a bit repetitive but I don't mind. It's still an awesome & interesting experience. Also, all the other employees seem cool so I'm happy about that.

I can't disclose too much detail about my experiences in public, so I must be very generic due to confidentiality. But if you wanna hear anything else, you can ask me personally!

Anyways, I spent the rest of the evening napping, eating dinner and skyping with a friend from BU so it was pretty relaxing. And now I'm still tired despite my two hour nap so I'm going to head off to bed soon. But I think I enjoy working better than going to classes..... probably mostly because of the free meals. Hahaha jk. I'm excited to see what more my internship has in store!
