SPRING BREAK

Hello friends,

I am back. I feel like I've been away for so long but it was only 4 days! A few friends and I went to Italy - the land of gelatos, pastries and CARBS. 

We landed at the airport in Treviso, a city in Northern Italy, where we spent a few hours before we headed to Venice. We took a local bus from the airport to the center city of Treviso; it was pretty quiet and deserted but we had our first and cheapest gelato there for only 1.30euros!! Then, we took a train from Treviso to Venice. We also spent one day at Verona - the home of Romeo & Juliet! 

Let me just say for the 100th time --- VENICE IS SO BEAUTIFUL. And romantic.... a bit too romantic to visit with 7 other girls..... but whatever. It's a lot smaller than I imagined, and every street/bridge/road looks the same and it's legit like a maze to get around. But it was like living in a painting. It was gorgeous. 

There's a lot I can say, but I'll just post a few pictures because they do far better justice than my words (edited using vscocam)

Some things I learned/realized/thought about/etc.:

• You have to pay for most public bathrooms
• We went into this one cafe that had different coffee prices according to whether you wanted a take out, wanted to sit at the bar, or wanted to sit at a table. So cheap ugh -.-
• Gelato is cheaper, if not the same, cost as water
• Toilet seats are so thin. It's literally the thing when guys lift up the toilet seat. That thin thing that you can't even sit on....
• I've had gelato 7 times within the 4 days
• It's not easy traveling with 7 other girls with strong personalities and opinions. The worst sides of all of us came out hahaha
• Bellini, aka peach champagne, is yummy
• Venice is beautiful until it gets dark - then it can be really really scary because it is deserted at night and there are no lights. Also, the "streets" (aka alleyways) are so narrow
• Genuine Italian leather is so cheap! (couldn't resist buying two totes for meself. two because i couldn't decide on either color heh)
• I could eat some gelato right now
